BLOG 11: In her Prologue, Alysoun challenges the Medieval Church on the subject of marriage and points out numerous fallacies in their reasoning. Identify at least two of these fallacies.  Choose a song that you think the Wife of Bath would like and explain why you think so. Include the lyrics and a link to the song. What celebrity can you visualize as the Wife of Bath? Why?
One of the multiple fallacies found in the Canterbury Tales is only marrying once. In the wife of the baths prologue, she describes her experiences with having multiple husbands and lovers. She does not believe that having multiple husbands is sinful or wrong. the Bible doesn't explicitly say that having multiple partners is sinful.
Another fallacy found in the Canterbury tales is how the Wife of bath believes that women are more powerful in a relationship than men. She describes her experiences with her spouses and how she was always in control and
A song I feel that the Wife of bath would like is "Bleeding Love." This song is about love and no being able sometimes to control what happens in a relationship or life. The lyrics "I don't care what they say" relate to the Wife of Bath because she doesn't care what others think she wants to do what she believes.
Lyrics
Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough, but it was all in vain
Time starts to pass, before you know it, you're frozen
But something happened, for the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground, found something true
And everyone's looking round, thinking I'm going crazy
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein, that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears, try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal, is to keep me from falling
But nothings greater, than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
Yet everyone around me, thinks that I'm going crazy, maybe, maybe
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein, that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
And it's draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars, for everyone to see
I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein, that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
Oh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
Oh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love

A celebrity that best represents the Wife of Bath would be Adele. Most of the songs Adele has written has been about love and heartbreak. The Wife of Bath puts a big emphasis on love and marriage.
